SLO-Green Apple Day Workshop
Every year, thousands of volunteers around the world show their support for healthy, sustainable schools by taking real action in their communities. Green Apple is a global movement aimed at putting all children in schools where they have access to clean and healthy air, where energy and resources are conserved, and where they can be inspired to dream of a brighter future.
SABIS Student Life Organization® Social Responsibility Department has worked hand in hand with ISC Alumni member, a graduate of the year 2000, Mr. Ibrahim Kronfol, a “Green” accredited professional Engineer, to host a workshop at SABIS® International School Adma on the 17th of October, 2015. This green event was in collaboration with “U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)” and “Dar Al-Handasah – Sha’er and Partners”. During the workshop, SLO® prefects attended a presentation related to sustainable development and eco-friendly environment and took a stand in this global movement where they reused plastic bottles to plant a wall at SIS-Adma campus.
