On October 22nd, 2016, students visited Gourmet Mushroom in Byblos, where the experienced how mushrooms grow first-hand. They discovered the process of planting fresh mushrooms with an exciting hands-on activity before continuing to the next venue. The second stop for the day was Bioland Farm, where they observed farm life through a guided tour on a wagon. They pet, fed, and cared for various farm animals such as goats, donkeys, chickens, and rabbits. The students went on to play games and educational activities, ate a delicious lunch in Bioland’s playground, and enjoyed a healthy cake made from pure molasses.
